What is the C.M.E.A Music Festival?
This Solo and Ensemble Festival is a state wide event which we offer to our school-age students who perform at level 3 and above.
What should my student expect from this event?
Students are assigned a time to perform one piece for an adjudicator who will then ask a few questions, suggest ways to improve, and grade the student’s performance. The top student from each instrument is then invited back for an “end of the day” Command Performance concert.
When is the last day I can register?
Registration closes March 27.
What is the registration fee?
The C.M.E.A. festival registration/studio fee is $40 per student.
What should my student wear to this event?
The universal norm for performance attire is “well-dressed.” Nice pants and dress shirt; a skirt or dress (at least knee-length), and dress shoes. Jeans and tee shirts are not acceptable due to their informal appearance.
Where will the C.M.E.A. Music Festival be held?
The music festival will be held at College of the Sequoias – Sierra Building. (915 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA 93277)
